Oral Cancer Surgery

If a tumor is found on the lip, tongue, or in the lining of the oral cavity, surgeons may remove surrounding soft tissue. Surgeons may need to remove portions of the surrounding bone if cancer has spread to the jawbone or hard palate. Teeth may also need to be removed if cancer has spread to the jawbone.

Head & Neck Cancer Surgery

Your surgeon makes an incision in front of your ear and down your neck, and removes the tumor, surrounding tissue, and sometimes nearby lymph nodes. When other salivary glands are involved, surgery is the most common treatment. The approach depends on the type and location of the tumor.

Facial Fracture Surgery

The usual treatment for facial fractures involves two steps, reduction or "setting of the bone" and fixation. Reduction involves restoring broken pieces to their proper position. In many cases of facial fracture, reduction can be accomplished several days after the injury, once the swelling has subsided.

Jaw Cysts & Tumors Surgeries

During surgery, your surgeon removes your jaw tumor or cyst, which may include removing nearby teeth, tissue and jawbone, and sends it to the lab for examination. A pathologist examines the removed tissue and reports a diagnosis during the procedure so that the surgeon can act on this information immediately.
